Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT)

EBIT is an indicator of a company’s profitability. It is calculated as revenue minus expenses excluding tax and interest. It is also referred to as: Operating Earnings, Operating Profit, and Operating Income. It is calculated from the income statement.
